The grant will support Beauboeuf-Lafontant鈥檚 research for her book project, You May Call Me Eva P: Portraits of a Willful Black Matriline, 1837-1937.
The funding will support an archaeological excavation in southwestern Wyoming, focusing on the historical Rock Springs Chinatown.
